OUR MISSION
The Junior League or Pueblo (founded in 1977), is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism and to improving the community through the effective leadership of trained volunteers.
OUR VISION
The Junior League of Pueblo is a recognized leader in the community, committed to fulfilling the needs of the child. Volunteers nurture the individual, advocate for the rights of the child and strive to empower the children of Pueblo to reach their full potential.
OUR GOALS
The Junior League of Pueblo will
- Provide volunteers and funds to support programs that address the needs of families and children
- Provide training that prepares women to be effective volunteers and leaders in the community
- Provide an environment that incorporates diversity in its membership
- Create community awareness about the needs of young children
WHO WE ARE
An organization that reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.
WHAT WE DO
Junior League of Pueblo contributes volunteers and dollars direct to service projects, collaborations, advocacy and training around our focus area of the education of children. The Junior League of Pueblo researches needs facing our community and collaborates with non-profit agencies to respond to those needs. The Junior League of Pueblo has supported multiple community projects, providing financial support as well as volunteers.
Current Community Projects
- Promote Recreational Reading with a semi-annual Book Swap at local Title 1 elementary schools
- Fight Childhood Obesity with "Kids in the Kitchen" demonstrations at Pueblo Health Expo
- Assist YWCA with preparations for Chocolate Indulgance fundraiser
- Donate homemade cookies to the Child Advocacy Center
- Assist families at the Posada Holiday Blessings Store
HOW WE DO IT
The Junior League of Pueblo commits volunteers, who contribute thousands of volunteer hours. The proceeds of our fundraising efforts provide the revenues to support our purpose and programs.

Each of our members has made a personal commitment to improve the quality of life for our community.

Membership dues are $130.00 for the first year of service and $110.00 for each subsequent year. For training purposes, we ask that individuals join for a minimum of six years.
