FUNDRAISING
The Junior League has three fundraisers per year; two themed parties and Girl’s Day Out. The parties are held in the Spring and Fall with food and drink revolving around a particular theme. Some of our past themes include Witches, Brew and Fondue, Martinis and Magic, Margarita Madness, Tapas and Sangrias, and Music and Martinis. These parties are a lot of fun with the Junior League members (and sometimes husbands!) serving the drinks and food from many different Junior League cookbooks. It is usually held at a prominent community members’ luxurious home with many of Pueblo’s finest citizens attending.
Girl’s Day Out is a community wide event geared toward today’s women. It includes shopping, food and a fashion show. It is intended to be a day that tightens the bonds between women of Southern Colorado and is truly beneficial to the community. Mothers, grandmothers, daughters, and sisters are all a wonderful source of support to each other. Girl’s Day out is a day to celebrate that bond while providing services, products and motivation to all women.
The proceeds from all our fundraisers benefit the Junior League’s children’s literacy program and leadership training. Junior League of Pueblo is committed to being women building better communities.
